Big City: not the guarantee of good education.

The current session of schools is going to over in India and parents are now running school to school to admit their wards/ children. A proper phrase for this time is "Admission Time". As registrations are now open for nursery and primary classes.

Most parents I met are keen to admit their child to most famous school or schools having large building or school where children of film stars or politicians study.

Most people think that if their ward gets and admission in these schools of big city he/she will have a good future with good career. I believe in some of cases, they are right. But people should know where great people got their studies. Does anyone know here former President of India and missile man Mr. Abdul Qalam did his schooling, where current Prime minister of India Mr. Manmohan Singh got his education? A simple example parent can have about their own self. Where they got their education?

A school in big city is not the guarantee of good education. People who study in small town schools are equally or more able to compete the world. I have noticed that most people who crack SSC,UPSE, Civil Services, Indian Police services, Medical, Engineering and other well known places comes from small town or small cities.

One important thing is "Costly doesn't mean the gold."
Most people think that if they are spending much, they will get the best. In some cases it's true but not in all. The school where I got my education charged me 60 paise/ month as the school fees in primary school and Rs.25/- / month in Secondary and Sr. Secondary, does it mean that I have got low grade education. I took part in so many competitions and won most of them. And now teaching students of the schools who charged 10000 or 20000 times more what the fees I had to submit in my school.

If anyone is looking for school for his/her son just try to know few important things about the school is the kind of environment they are providing, previous record, education system, teaching method, behavior of teachers, activities they offer to the student, class rooms, play ground, interaction of teachers, etc.

Most important in all is the previous record: Just check that and get your child admit.

Just see future of your child not where children of your neighbors or relatives study.

If you find a good school in small town and also fit in the above criteria then admit your child at there.

Want to get good marks: Read like reading a story book or comics.

There are so many students who complain that they are not able to concentrate on their studies. They read their books for hours but learn nothing. This is a normal thing which happens with all the students.

Have you ever think that you still know the story you read in a story book or scene of a film or a song or a comic character. Why you still remember all these things after a long time? The reason, you were reading that book for fun and involved yourself with the character. This is the simple thing, what one can do to improve learning power.

Just read when you have no pressure: A simple thing what one can do. Reading at the time when you have no pressure means people who read just before the exam have so much of pressure and a lot of things to read. That is why they don't feel comfortable and just hang in books. So, start early.

Read like reading a story: Most of the students just try to learn the lesson or the theory. They just don't try to understand that. I have noticed so many students who read a line for 10-15 times to learn but don't read that for once to understand. What best is to read your text book is like reading a story book and relate yourself with the characters of the books or incidents the you will notice that you will feel more comfortable in your studies and a fast learner.

If you want to learn then start asking.

I have seen so many students complaining about their teachers that they (teachers) don't teach them properly. Sometimes students are right but most of the time students are wrong. No teacher is there who don't want to teach his/her students. I believe all the teachers in teaching profession are willing to teach except few who don't want to do any work.
I have noticed in my teaching profession that there are most students who just do whatever they are asked to do; most of them don't even ask questions related to the problem. I just want to tell students teachers are no God who can find out that you haven't understand the problem solved by the teacher or the topic teacher taught you. There are some points I have noticed and willing to share with you.
[b]Don't shy in group to ask questions.
I have noticed that while taking classes in groups students feel shy and don't ask questions to teacher if they don't understand; thinking that other students of the same group will make fun of them and will think that he/she is weak.
This is not good practice. If you don't understand the problem and when your teacher asks "Got it" and you say yes (while you know that you don't understand) then what teacher will think? Surely he will think that you are good and have got the problem right. But you know the problem. After this teacher will go to the next level and hence you did not get the 1st level right, you will also not able to get the 2nd level. And problem continues.
What you get after this: A poor result. If you have asked the question to the teacher, you would have got a good result in your hand.
Don't feel shy as in your same class/grade all students are like you, they all think like you and have problem like you. If you ask question, you just not help yourself but also help other classmates as well because there are chances that other students also have same problem like you.

Tata Nao: A dream come true.

This is the time when world can say that “a car with the cost of $2500.”

I don't think much about Gujarat, Tata Motors or car when I talk about Tata Nano.
Yes it's true that it's a revolution of car industry not only in India, in global market as well. When Ratan tata decided and announced his dream of launching a car costing $2500, no one believed him; some made fun of him as well. But that's his vision and the great work of tata engineers who made it possible.
This car has so many good features and a an affordable price.
I am not watching Tata Nano as a car what people are talking about and trying to find out it's demerits. I am seeing Tata Nano from the spects of Ratan Tata as scooter, which has a roof and a sitting capacity where no one will get wet while raining. Just think about your scooter and Bike and then compare it, you will have more benefits then demerits, but if you start comparing it with traditional Cars you'll get more demerits than benefits.
I salute Ratan Tata for a dream...His engineers for their work.
And Thanks God who helped them to make Ratan tata's dream come true...

Don't leave easy questions while preparing for exams.

I have seen so many students learning and practicing long and hard looking questions and leaving those questions which are short and looks very easy. All think that the examiner definitely will ask them hard and long questions though they have marking schemes and patterns available at there schools or classes.
I just ask a simple question to all the students. What they think about their teachers? Do they get salaries to give less mark while checking answers sheets or preparing question papers. The answer definitely is "No". So why to worry from teachers and just to learn long and hard looking questions.
Once I had got a chance to prepare a test question paper for my group and most of them just nearly got passing marks. When I showed question paper to my class teacher he was just kept laughing on that, "Reason?", simple, The question paper just contained easy and short questions and no one tried to learn all those questions. And then all my friends realized why I was getting good marks in exams.
All students are supposed to learn syllabus as a whole not just hard and long questions. Any student can get a marking as well as question pattern from their schools or their boards and check how many questions come, what weightage each question or a chapter has, what should be the length of 1 mark questions and what should be the length of 5 marks question etc. So, it's important to understand syllabus as a whole and then learn accordingly and when exams looks near one can check these marking schemes so that he/she can prepare according to that.

Today my friend gave me a topic to write about and I promised her to try. So, there are the things which I like a friend must have or must not have. Don't take me wrong or confused person. I don't see any good or bad quality in my friends. They are my friends because I like them, I never tried to look there qualities, what they have or what they don't have.
But still I have decided to think about my best friends and the qualities they have which I like the most.
1st of all would like to tell that when we take birth, we have no choice to select our mother, father, brothers, sisters and other relatives. We have to live with them with the qualities they have, whether we like them or not. But friendship is a kind of relation, on which we have the right to decide with whom we like to spend our time, With whom we like to share our secrets, with whom we can feel comfortable etc. But did u ever think before making anyone your friend? I don't think anyone thinks. 1st we just join each other and start sharing time, after some time we feel that the person we are having in our life is better then the other people and we start spending more time with him/her.
A good or best friend must be genuine in my point of view. He should say good if you are good and should say bad if you are bad. He should be a critic with you in your deeds. If you are doing anything wrong and your friend is not stopping you, it means that your friend doesn't care about you. Because we don't allow to do anything wrong if we care about anyone. If you are doing anything wrong and your friend is helping you it means that you have a wrong person and he/she will definitely harm you, whenever he/she get a chance.My friends normally criticize me when they find anything wrong in my deeds.
A good friend should be loyal with you. A friend must be loyal because loyalty is the thing which makes relations more bonded. He/ she should keep your secrets in his/her heart, so that you shouldn't feel ashamed in front of others.
He/she must be part of you in your bad times. We have so many friends but can we count how many of them come to us in our bad times? Very few. Reason most people are just part of you in your good times and in your bad times they run away because they think that you could ask anything to them. There is a well known say " a friend in need is a friend in deed". When in 2007 I had a surgery only few of my friends turned to see me or called me in the hospital. That was the time when I realized and come to know how many are my good friends. From that onwards I never expect anything to anyone.
Now I just want my friend to be little good with me. I don't expect anything from anyone and that's why I feel happy most of the time.
I just Want a friend to be just a genuine person not more than that.

50 Years But still Young.

I am not talking about any miracle or any lady who gave birth in her 50s. I am talking about children's own BARBIE. No matter, what age you have, how many seasons you have seen, you still love that little sweet beauty queen. 

It's always pleasure to see the innocent and sometimes naughty ace of Barbie. And please don't talk about fashion in front of her. She is more fashionable and trendy than our top most models or film actresses. She has all latest clothes, bags and yes, latest hair colors and styles as well. This is the only lady whom you can praise in front of your wife or girl friend. Your lady will not feel jealous and fight with you. 

We all are watching this sweet little girl since our childhood and now our younger sisters and daughters are watching and liking her. It's always pleasure to buy this sweet doll and gift your loving kids and cost is not more than the smile of your kid. Children love their friend Barbie. They love to dress and comb her. They play with her hair and try different kind of hair styles on her. Whenever I get a chance to spend sometime at home, I love to watch little kids playing with sweety. 

But there is one thing I wish from Barbie this birth day to ask her marketers to cut the cost, so that kids of small salaried or low income can also take her(Barbie) home and see their children play with.
